Degree and Certificate Programs
Case Western Reserve University
includes among the faculty and staff of its schools many noted scholars of
specific public policy fields, of approaches to public policy, and of the
policy-making process itself. The Center for Policy Studies and the
Public Policy Program enable faculty and students from across the university
to work with each other and community leaders to study the development, evaluation,
and improvement of public policy. Public policy undergraduate and graduate
courses are offered through the College of Arts and Sciences in the Departments
of Anthropology, Geological Sciences, History, Political Science, and Sociology;
through the Weatherhead School Of Management in the Department of Economics
among other departments; through the Schools of Law, Medicine, and Nursing;
and through the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences (social work) and
the Mandel Center for Nonprofit Organizations.
The program allows undergraduates
to pursue a minor in public policy and take advantage of the Center for Policy
Studies’ forums and other opportunities to explore public policies.
Plans to offer an inter-disciplinary master's degree are being developed.
