Of how much use is American military power against an insurgency? What tactics have what effects, and what determines success or failure? Is there a task that can be accomplished, and at what cost?

Featured Speakers: Thomas X. Hammes, Colonel (Ret.) U.S. Marine Corps. Peter W. Moore Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Political Science, Case Western Reserve University. Colonel Hammes will address the use and usefulness of the American military, and Professor Moore will discuss how nations of the Middle East deal with their own insurgencies.
